We believe Northern California is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, Sonoma and Napa counties in particular (we may be a bit biased). Because we love where we live and work, we make sure to integrate the beauty, history and quirkiness of the area into each service we provide for our clients through our venues, food choices, wine tours, hospitality and off the beaten path personalized outings. Cuvée brings together Catherine & John's Wine Country companies, Olive & Vine and Burdick Vineyard Tours, under one roof to provide our clients with one of a kind multi sensory experiences.

 

Catherine Venturini Burdick

After years of owning her own restaurant Indies on the island of St. Croix in the early 90’s, working at the Grille at Sonoma Mission Inn and the house chef for Mondavi’s Arrowood Winery, Chef Catherine finally opened Olive & Vine. Her small café transformed into a fine dining hallmark restaurant in Sonoma Valley. At the restaurant Catherine is not only the executive chef and owner, but also the collector, curator, designer, painter, florist and chalkboard artist extraordinaire.

 

Through out all of this Catherine has been catering gorgeous parties all over the Northern California region since 1999, accumulating a prestigious and devoted following who not only love her food, but her attention to detail and commitment to go above and beyond. Every client knew that hiring Catherine to cook for their party would mean a beautifully decorated culinary presentation...and then some.

 

Helping plan events and handling the logistics for the party was something Catherine did for private clients for many years. Now she brings her keen artistic eye, long list of trusted vendors, and highly awarded culinary cuisine to create Cuvee Wine Country Events.

John Burdick

Owner . Sommerlier

John has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality business. After holding several different positions in the wine and restaurant industry, John created Burdick Vineyard Tours and teamed up with his wife Catherine to change Olive & Vine Café and Catering to the fine dining gem it is now. John’s vineyard tour company allows him entry to the most exclusive and reserved wineries, granting his clients private access to some of the best wines and views Wine Country has to offer. In the restaurant, John’s selective wine list of low case produced wines has been awarded the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.

 

Over the years John has brought his clients to exclusive wineries, but has also created superb itineraries for their entire stay while in Wine Country. From cooking classes (by Catherine Venturini) to hot air balloon vistas; high end spa pampering to grape stomping, John is able to bring his clients an experience custom to their desires. He not only brings his sommelier palate to design a custom wine list for parties, but also the many trusted relationships he has garnered over the years to Cuvee Wine Country Events.
